about me.

Hi, my name is Tracie and I’m a workout clothes aholic. I should probably be in some sort of a support group for it, but instead of using that hour confessing all of my shopaholic sins, I spend it perusing online for cute outfits that would be good to work out in.

Previous to workout clothing I had an addiction to makeup and hair products, and then when the fumes lifted and the liner was wiped away I realized I should spend my money more productively…on workout clothes. I spent years managing retail clothing stores and my favorite part of it was dressing the mannequins and making up the outfits that would hang together. Having served all of that time, I know colors that work well together and having experience as a crossfitter and a crossfit coach, I know what clothing is functional for a wod.

I believe that CrossFitters have a greater sense of workout fashion than the typical globo-gymer so that is what this blog is all about..cute outfits to sweat to your favorite girl or hero (or whatever couplet/triplet/amrap/chipper) in.

I’m also a firm believer that the more positive you feel about yourself, and what you’re doing, the better the outcome will be. I realize the capacity for this blog to be mocked, it is a bit over the top. However, if having a cute outfit will make you feel better = move faster, then it is hurting no one. Well, it might be hurting your wallet..so keep it within reason!

These are a few cf things..
Lift: deadlift
Girl: grace
Hero: you can’t choose.
Thing I need to work on most: putting weight overhead.
Thing I like to do the most: lunges and situps.

and clothing related..
shoes: pumas. They’re cheap, they’re flat, and they get the job done. I prefer the maya or h-street style.
bra: nike pro is what I have the most of..
shorts: I hate to say it, but lulu speed shorts. They just move SO well.
headband: Lulu luon headbands…they stay put, and they’re wide. I don’t like their “slipless” style..they slip the most!
jackets: under armour.
socks: I buy most of mine at target, for $2 a piece, I’m not going to cry my eyes out if a pair gets ruined.

    Hi Traci,
I’m doing a school project and like the photo collages on your blog, may I have your permission to use them in the project?

I just wanted to say I absolutely love your site. My husband has bought me tons of tanks from outfits you suggest. I’m a mom, recent crossfitter and runner and looking good when I workout helps me get out the door. If you’re interested in partnering up, blog wise, I’m more than happy to refer my peeps here. Great job!

Renita — Thank you so much! Glad you like the blog. I totally agree, if I feel confident in myself (outfit included) I work harder in the gym. It seems like a silly notion, but if it helps, then it helps. :)
